Inadequate Parking at the Metropole

There are two few parking spaces to accommodate all of the cars belonging to residents, much less residents' visitors. This has resulted in people parking their cars anywhere they can. The later at night it becomes (and on weekends) the less likely you will find a valid parking space. Management (and owners''') decided this weekend to paste green stickers on cars parking any where except designated parking spaces. The stickers threaten to tow improperly parked cars. If management brings in the tow trucks to rid the garage of improperly parked cars, where are the valid parking spaces for those who want to legally park''' These spaces are not here in the garage. Therefore, residents will be forced to locate offsite parking. Too bad. My lease ends in 38 days. I will be moving to a high rise with two assigned parking spaces and additional spaces for visitors. Whew!!! I look forward to leaving. Good luck to those who choose to live here.

It's very frustrating trying to navigate up the 1st and 2nd parking levels with all of the illegally parked cars, and I've almost been hit plenty of times. I sent management a letter that I will personally start calling a tow truck if they don't do something about the parked cars. There are plenty of spaces on the 3rd parking level and higher. Yes, it's a pain for those living on lower levels, but it's something we have to deal with.

Why should Metropole residents have to "deal with the pain". If the Metropole were truly a luxury property, wouldn't it be correct for management to address all of these issues (lack of security, lack of lighting, poorly painted striping, narrow parking spaces, awkwardly designed ramps, and now crowded parking on the first and second floors. It is a fact that those of us who moved in July 2007 were promised assigned parking spaces once the garage started to become too crowded. This has not happened yet. Why do we find residents trading online insults over these issues while each day we try to make sure we find a legal parking space. These online insults among tenants represent displaced anger. The true culprits are management and the property owners who need to address the garage issues in a professional, fair and decisive manner. They also need to do it quickly.

Very well spoken of the last writer. Management held out certain promises that are competitive with surrounding properties, including cameras, lighting, a completely secure garage, also that those who live on upper levels will park on upper levels. I have never noticed a car parked in a manner that obstructs the entrance/exit of the garage. Calling a tow truck on your own will leave you personally liable, it is not legal for you to act in such a manner. Yes, valid parking spaces are available for those who live on upper levels, just as management promised would be enforced!!! The End!
