Yeah, I'm having the same problem with other properties (Management posting--falsifying posts) that I will potentially be renting at, but as a current resident at Meyergrove--it is safe to say that these comments are true! :) I also posted on a response on one or two postings below this one--it lists the pros and cons. In short, the neighbors are unusally quiet--and I've transferred from a one bedroom unit to a two bedroom. The cooling system can intially induce a dampen-older-moldy smell but the management is absolutely sweet (oddly enough) which seems to be a rarity in Houston! I will say that residents are seemingly getting worse about allowing their dogs to use the restroom on the pavement and grassy areas lining the walkways...Management is actively resurrecting "no pooping signs" and apparently the rumor is they will ban the allowance of pets for future owners...hmmmm who knows...but I have been here for 6 months..through many rain storms...no flooding but sometimes the bayou can smell--nothing that my Yankee Candle can't handle :)
You decide if it's worth it, hope I helped!!!
As an aside...if anyone has any properties that they would recommend within the inner-south-loop...I absolutely need a washer-dryer connection (only in three bedroom apartments) and my dog is too aggressive for management to consider me for a three room apartment hence the move.

It's not the bayou - it's the water treatment plant down the street that's giving off the smell! Sometimes it sucks to be downwind!
