Yo!

Not the best; not the worst

I have been living in Alexan for almost two years and I will say it is not the best but not the worst. First of all, crime is pretty regular there but from what I hear all over the city is pretty regular at every apartment complex. They do inform us of the break-ins and they "appear" to have added some extra security (although the lil old men do not make me feel safe). The worst thing about the complex is the PARKING!!!! IT IS HORRIBLE. Whoever wrote if you are not home by 5:15 you are parking on the roof was sooooo correct!!! I do not understand why they cannot be like other apartments and designate parking for each apartment. It is so sad that I live on the 2nd floor and have to park on the 6th floor almost every day. Lately I have been having a problem with bugs in my apartment and the leasing office has failed to spray now going on three weeks!!! Also as nice as these apartments are they must have searched the city to find the world's CHEAPEST TOILETS!!! My toilet is constantly running, failing to flush, etc!!! Every time I put in a maintenance request about it it takes them so long that I just end up rigging it myself because I do not want it to run for 3 ENTIRE DAYS and then have them bill me $100 for water that month (yes that has happened to me before). You really cannot just call up to the office for maintenance you have to call a 1-800 number that covers all the properties. It is pretty stupid because it really slows progress. It would be better if you could call the office or if they had a separate maintenance number in the office instead of making you have to go through a middle man. Stupid!!! Overall, nice apartments, too freaking expensive, too freaking crowded, not enough parking, and pretty crappy maintenance.
