A Nightmare, that's how I describe living in the Mint Apartments...fortunately I have not have any problems with my neighboors...yet...and I hope that stays the same, but as far as service, staff and environment are terrible. Environment: you can see gangs walking around at any time, even at school hours. Service:since I moved I have asked for some things to be fixed in the apartment and it's been horrible. They "fixed" the washer and dryer connections because they were corroted and were leaking and the hole is still there after week and a half ago, my refrigerator had mold in the freezer and it took two weeks for them to go and paint it, not change it...paint it. My door lock is kind of broken (loose) and I am still waiting after a week of informing that to the office. There supposed to replace the A/C filter every month, I call them the fourth of each month, when the rent had being paid already and they always go almost a month after I called them (calling them every two days to remind them), etc... Staff: Is there any real person over there'...They are disrespectful, they get sarcastic when you approach them(either on the phone or in person),they hang up the phones on you when they feel like it, after you have called many times for the same issue and talked to different people they act like they have no clue of what your talking about, even if you talk to the same person, they are helpless, they have bad attitudes and very disrespectful...A COMPLETE AND TOTAL NIGHTMARE!!!

The dead body found in the back of the car was my friend Colton...apparently he was involved in some drug ----...i guess thats what happens when you get caught up in the game...but yea, he was a good kid until he stopped playing basketball with us, then he started hanging around the wrong crowd and ends up with a bullet in his head and smelling like ham in the trunk of a car...so sad...the mint sucks balls by the way...i had a friend shot in the chest with a bow and arrow there one time...

I live in the Mint and I must tell you that many of the staff here are cool. The maintenznce guys are nice (Mr. Elmo, Chilo, Mark) Really nice in the office Kim is the coolest. Letty was here, but she left. When I first came, Jose the black (sorry, he said he isn't black) Dominican guy seemed friendly and nice enough until he messed up my lease and took forever fixing what needed to be fixed and talking about my breasts. Cute, but he is an -------...they are lucky I didn't sue......Also when I tell you that there are enough roached here to set the population of Harris County a new high, then you better believe me that. It is ridiculous. I have to put down my own stuff every 30 days because they just will not go away and leave me alone....Oh and a little boy got killed over here too and one of the residents' 18 yrs old son set a mattress on fire and burned down a whole unit..boy I'll bet Christmas was really bad for some of us...On a positive note, I go out a whole lot and have come in at 3, 4, and sometimes 5 in the morning and when I say that nobody has messed with me or said anything remotely threatening, I mean that. Nobody has broken into my apartment either and that could be because I live on the street (apartment facing the street). It is pretty quiet except as someone says that the teens can become a bit rowdy and there are too many people hanging out but I guess. Just remember, you get what you pay for.
