Mirage Apartments

enjoyed my 2 years here From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 8/25/2007 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2007   I've lived here for 2 years, and would continue to stay if I wasn't moving out of town. The few maintenance complaints I've had were taken care of quickly. I don't visit the office often, but when I need to pick up a package the staff is always helpful. The fitness center is on the small side compared to my previous apartment (not in Houston), but it seems comparable to other places in Houston. Supposedly they are going to be renovating the office/fitness center/clubhouse. They first mentioned this to me in April, and I still haven't seen any work start yet. I don't use the pool, but I often see/hear others out by the pool. I live around the back side, facing the office building next door and it seems very quiet to me. I very rarely hear noise from my neighbors. When I moved in everything looked nice on the surface, but after closer inspection I noticed the paint was flaky and the carpet not well installed. To me it hasn't really been a big deal. The appliances are average. Slightly on the old side, but still usable. When I renewed my lease in April they mentioned that some of the apartments are getting new appliances. I have seen some work being done to some apartments, so this could be true. If you're thinking of renting here, maybe consider asking to see the actual apartment that's available, not just the demo apartment. I like that the washer/dryer is outside of the balcony. Overall I've had a great experience here and would recommend it to others. I should also mention that I very much like the area. It's on a quiet side street, but super close to everything I need including restaurants, supermarkets, bank, and library... oh, and of course the Galleria for shopping.
