I live on the side of Nantucket Square that is individually owned, and have for 10 yrs. Since I have been here, there was two fires. One on each side. The apartment side lost an entire building, there is now a little park/play area for families on the rental side. The most recent fire, was on the indiv.owned side, one unit, it was self contained due to fire walls, and only that one unit was ruined. All has been repaired and all is well.

Another misconception is the pool area, which is advertised on the site for Nantucket Square II apartments, but it is solely maintained by the maintenance fees paid by the individual homeowners. Therefore, it is only used by the individual homeowners (Nantucket Square I).

We have not had any problems with rats, or roaches, but while we do not have a maintenance man, we do actively spray and place poison in our attics to keep the pests away.

Noise can be a problem for the entire property when cars come by with their radio turned up too loud. And during holidays which allow fireworks. Folks do not supervise their kids, and allow them to shoot the fireworks all hours of the night.

Just something to keep in mind, it is cheaper to buy than rent, and you get the same floor plan, with a reward each year from Uncle Sam. NICE PLACE TO LIVE FOR YOUNG PERSON, OR RETIRED PERSON, YOU HAVE A LOT OF SPACE, AT A LOW RATE, AND SOMEONE TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR YARD & ROOF.
