management sucks, maintanence is horrific, parkings a nightmare, i could go on til' next tuesday. the place is crime ridden beyond belief, in the 4-5 months my husband and i were there we received notices almost everyday about breakins, car theft, armed muggings, you name it. the a/c went out 6 times! we had scheduled our move-in 3 months in advance, they waited until 3 days before to let us know the office would be closed that day and we would not be allowed to pick up our keys until 2 days later! of course by this time we had our days off planned and had the truck reserved, so we couldn't just up and change at the drop of a hat! so i went in to the office to negotiate and they ended up charging us $60 to get our keys 2 days early! we were not allowed to see the unit we'd be moving into until we had our keys (i've noticed this as a trend among crappy apartments, they conveniently have a well-kept model to show you, while all the other units have gone to $h*t). i did the walkthrough checklist and turned it in the same day. we had told them 3 months before that we had our own washer and dryer and they said it wouldn't be a problem that they could remove their machines before our move date, what a joke. they did'nt remove their machines until 2 weeks later after i harrassed them to the point of threatening to go somewhere else. after they did remove their machines they never fixed the closet door (the machines were in the closet and the doorframe has to be removed to get them in or out) in truth they broke contract first and i should have known then to leave, so much for being able to give people the benefit of the doubt. when we did leave we left that apartment in the same condition we found it. now they're trying to charge us over $2000 for damages. i say bullsh*t, they never fixed a d*mn thing while we were there so they should NOT expect perfection upon move-out. they're trying to say everything in that apartment needed replacement from the blinds to the walls to the carpet, whatever. lease at your own risk, they're only pretty on the outside and not even that. this place is the worst apartment complex i have EVER lived in!
