First off let me just say, watch out for the ants. When parking, make sure you dont pull up completely to the bushes. If not, on your morning commute to work, you'll be car pooling with 500 new friends. Management refuses to do anything about this, even if you can clearly walk up to the bush and see that the ants have made a condo on it.
We've lived here at this apartment complex for 2 years and the past year has just been horrible. I was on vacation for 2 weeks. I parked where I always park, and three days into my vacation I had to go outside and scrape an orange towing sticker off my car. This went on for three more times, until I spoke personally to the apartment manager and even took pictures to him to show that the car is brand new ( obviously not abandoned), and has all the stickers up to date.
We had to have them redo the caulk on our tub 4 times. Until finally we went out and bought a tube of $4 caulk and caulked the tub ourselves. Amazingly there has been no mold, no peeling, no nothing. So we can't under why the complex can't get something better than what they have.
Our rent check came up missing for three weeks. We kept calling management asking them had they received the check, they kept saying yes. But we didnt see it go through our account. We called our bank, for them to tell us that the check didnt exist (meaning it hadn't been cashed). We go back to the apartment management to tell them, and they get mad at us saying that's something we need to take up with the bank. The next day we received a letter saying our rent was late and we owed them an extra $200 on top of regular rent. Turns out the rent check was stuck in the desk of the agent we turned the check into. :-/
Sounds are something I expect to hear from my neighbors. However, I do not expect to hear them cough, talk on the phone, or even have a conversation about their family finances (which we could clearly hear every word that was spoken, and they were not even yelling.
The $5 pet rent is suppose to be used to pay for a company to come out and clean up the poop that is left behind, and supply us with the small doggie poop bags. However, most of the times the bags are empty and poop just sits on the ground until they mow the lawn....then it's just chopped up and thrown everywhere. (Sorry for being so graphic)
A neighbor came outside to find his car sitting on 4 blocks. Someone had came through during the night and took all of his rims. Even left the jack behind up under the car.
Lastly, we had a leak from the apartment above us. When maintenance came in, instead of them pushing our couch up out of the way, they just placed the bucket on top of the couch to catch the water. When we told management about this, all they did was laugh and degrade the race of the maintenance worker.
So as you can see we are looking forward to this moveout next month.

Oh my gosh, your review made me LMAO! My favorite part was "However, most of the times the bags are empty and poop just sits on the ground until they mow the lawn....then it's just chopped up and thrown everywhere. (Sorry for being so graphic)" CLASSIC!
But the part about degrading the race of the maintenence people--that's a shame that they would act so unprofessionally!

This review also made me LMAO! It's so true! Our tub had extremely bad caulk job, too. It was so moldy & I was scrubbing the tub 3-4 times a week! Finally, I did what this person did. I went out & got a tube of caulk and surprise, surprise...no mold! WTF!? And yes, sounds...not sounds as if someone was being extreme, sounds like what these reviews described - coughing, drawers closing, water running down pipes. Ah yes, the winners that I've seen walking/driving around within these gates lately; enough to make you wonder I'm paying such a premium price to live here. As far as degrading the race of the maintenance worker, that doesn't surprise me at all. Managment is very arrogant. Race of the maintenance workers has nothing to do with it; it's that they hire the cheapest folks & flog them to death. Ever wonder why there are only a handful of maintenance guys for 700 units & then they go & employ a truck load of leaf blowers? It's because they'd rather spend the money to keep the exterior pretty & just let people deal with the crappy, cheap interior. That's the truth. That's what we're paying for. Crappy, cheap interior & NO SECURITY. I'm currently looking for a better place to live, too. The way the housing market is coming down, people should get nice & desperate to rent/sell their houses/condos & drop prices, soon enough.

I had a problem with the drier 3 months ago, they are still figuring out how to fix it, quality of the workers - zilch.
