I have lived here for a year now and I hate it. First of all, I live on the third floor and it is just too hot even with a/c running 24/7 @ temperature set below 70. I know that the top floors are usually hotter than the other units below but I have lived on the top floor before and I didn't have too much issue with it as long as I set my temperature at a reasonable setting. With just two people living in the apartment our electricity bills are outrageous. So, if you are thinking about moving here at least rent the first or the second floor. Don't let the vaulted ceilings fool you. It is just not worth the money. Secondly, relating to the first negativity, a/c breaks down once a month. The maintenance guy tells me that the Freon is leaking. WHAT!! Every month the a/c is out of Freon gas and it always takes them a day or two to come out and refill. I think that they should know better to get to the bottom of this problem and get the a/c fixed by now. I am so tired of calling them every month routinely like as if it is my job to report the same problems over and over again. It is a nightmare to live without a/c in Houston weather for a day or two. It makes me angry having to be inconvenienced. We pay our rent on time and I expect the management to do the same on getting things done around the apartment if and when there are issues reported numerous times. Thank goodness our lease is up and we are getting ready to move out of here faster than the speedy Gonzales.

I feel your pain. You are not the only one experiencing these problems that are never resolved. The best thing that could happen is that a reputable company buy this property and provide an acceptable level of maintenence and resident relations.

I also live on the 3rd floor on the Crossing Side, it must be your unit, ours cool well but the bills are high. I have found that the only way to get anything done is to email Riverstone! Go down the list of people on their website( their titles are included!) And tell them everything you are having a problem with. The manager of the property will contact you shortly! And the problems will be somewhat resolved, but at least they have some idea that tenants are unhappy.

I know what you mean. My friend complains about his apartment constantly - things always breaking down, maintenance ignoring major problems, thin walls, etc. On a few occasions that I visited him, I slept in the spare bedroom. It must be located adjacent to some water pipes or circuitry of some kind, because it was SO NOISEY! I had to wear ear plugs to get some sleep! I made a comment to my friend about it and he said that's why he moved to the other bedroom! God, I thought these apartments are supposed to be "luxury" apts.!? Riverstone is just plain greedy. They know that these apts are POORLY built; but they have no problem charging premium price though. Not only poorly built but they are old and now falling apart. But they do not want to spend the appropriate $$ to fix. While they may not want to tear down & build from scratch, sounds like they do WHATEVER THEY CAN to delay or ignore things that they CAN FIX. That's what it comes down to - greed. I'm glad to hear that you are taking your hard-earned $$ elsewhere. People who pay for premium, should GET premium...not a string of excuses! Glad I don't live there!
