I have lived in this apartment complex for several years. In the past year or so it has really gone down hill. They are obviously not vigorously screening potential residents--not only has crime on property increased, but I was even informed by someone reliable that there was a law enforcement investigation of some tenets involving drugs/prostitution. I would believe this because one of the units in question was near my parking spot and I there were often suspicious people lurking around the apartment. They do allow pets of any size, but fail to equally enforce policies for walking the pet (and I am a pet owner myself). I have never had a problem with parking--you receive one space. The appearance of the property has declined as well.

I do think it is a bit premature to blame the new management company--they have only been around for a couple of months. However, there is a very strong chance that I will move when my lease is up.
