Rent is getting redicculously high!
From: -Anonymous-Date posted: 7/9/2009
Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2009
When we first moved in about 2 1/2 years ago, they gave us a special rent which we couldn't refuse. Once our lease is up, they increased 15% so we negotiated to 7 1/2%. Then lease is up again, they increased another 10% and we were able to negotiated to 5%. Finally, last lease up and they increased almost 12%. We negotiated but they still increased by $50 and up covered parking from $12.50 to $25. They said that rent will never go down and that they have a high occupancy rate. Way too expensive for us to stay so we're moving out.
Pros
Nice/friendly staff.
Maintenance is almost immediate once called.
Computer desk in study.
Cons
Parking is a nightmare (small spaces and people parked in our covered parking several times).
Old apartments but rent is way high and keep increasing w/not much room to negotiate.
Dishwasher is old and doesn't drain well (needed to be replaced with newer).
Washer & dryer is also old (need to be updated).
Water is metered on each individual apartment but our bill went up to 3 times as much since they changed management last year.
Entry gate broken several times.
One incident where some guys followed our upstairs neighbor and robbed them during the day.
No ceiling fan in bedroom but they did installed the one we bought for us.
We would recommend this complex if their rate is lowered and if they update the appliances. Other than that, it isn't a bad place to live.
