Compton At Inglewood is what it should be called. My family and I have moved in 3 weeks ago and I think we are the only white family here. The Katrina Evacuees party all night long... My 9 month old baby is constantly awakened to the window-rattling sound of the thug bass machines on 24" chrome spoked wheels. About 30 or 40 of them hang around in the parking lot dealing drugs, throwing footballs around, often times hitting my wife's car denting it. A girl jumped on the roof of my wife's car while I was outside smoking and then mocked me when I asked her what she was doing.
These Katrina Evacuees have absolutely no respect to other people's property, other people, or authority. The police are here almost every night. They walk around the parking lot swearing at each other, drinking beer, breaking beer bottles on the lot, vandalizing the pools, etc. I feel like I'm living in Compton, LA. When you try and drive out of the complex, you have to drive slowly because the 30-40 of them playing football won't move for you. In fact they'll look at you with disdain like you're the one in their way.
Loud music booms and shakes every joint and stud in the foundation at all hours of the night.
Every one of them, even the toddlers have cell phones, all of them use profanity loudly, all of them scream and do just about anything they can to make noise.
Apart from these evacuees, the staff and maintenance at the apartment are exemplary. I'm sure once these animals return to Lousiana, this apartment complex will return to its former splendor, but until then, my 10 year old daughter is not allowed outside to play.

Funny, I lived there for 6 months in 2002, it was a termite mold infested dump then, the evacuees may have intensified things but it should just be condemed. It's been run by a slum lord for at least as long as I was there in 2002, sounds like things haven't changed much! One time we even went without water for 3 days!!

You are not alone. We moved in right before Katrina, and now we are living a nightmare. I constantly complain to the office, as well as the police, and nothing happens. What else can we do? ronnieyowens@hotmail.com

OpenUrEyes, looks like a hot roach fell into your keyboard and melted your capslock key down. If you are one of the evacuees, you can kiss my white ass. For one, I didn't know this place was overrun by you gumbo-eating, disgusting monkies. The katrina evacuees are worst than animals. You have no respect for people or their properties whatsoever. Next time before you decide to use your FEMA-paid piece of ---- computer and go online to spew your illegible garbage, take a look at yourselves, how you all act, look at your pants falling down, your gold teeth, your chrome rims, your $10,000 stereos in your piece of ---- cars and tell me why people call you -------.

You guys are so violent. If Colonelpwnage has had a bad experience, he has every right to complain and voice his opinion. I stumbled onto this website while looking for an address for someone who lives there, so I'm a total outside source. We've had a lot of evacuees come to our area (not in Texas) and they are all very polite and thankful for the way the community has accepted them. BUT, low-lifes tend to stick together. I read almost all of the reviews for this complex and probably 95% of them complained about the evacuees. Josephcd, it appears you're trying to stick up for these people. Trust me, I'm all about defending the under-dog. I'm usually a pretty naive person in that I believe most people are kind and deserve second, third, and fourth chances, but the general consensus seems to be that something needs to be done. Let's face it, music loud enough to rattle things (especially at night) is just plain rude. Standing in people's way and not moving when they need to get through is also rude. Druggies are scary - like time-bombs waiting to blow. That's no place for a family, but how can you know? It's not like they let you stay there a couple nights to try out the night-life before moving in. But josephcd, threatening colonelpwnage makes you just as bad (or worse) than the very people he was complaining about. I believe everyone has potential to be better than that, so why stoop to that level? Why not accept that people have the right to voice their own opinions. Relax, settle down, there's no need to live life with your fists at a constant fighting position. Colonelpwnage, I'm so sorry you are having to live with this. It sounds like it's no place to raise a child. I can't imagine not being able to let my child go out and play. I hope you're able to get out of your living situation soon and are able to afford a more comfortable and suitable place to raise your family.

By the way Colonelpwnage, the word is "monkeys" not "monkies". If you're going to insult someone, learn to spell.
