STAY AWAY.

The only good thing about this complex is it's location.

I rented my unit because of the good rent deals.

I was paying $569 for a one bedroom.
Never had a roach problem.

I am VERY clean...that might have a lot to do with it.

The main reason why we didn't renew is because of the suffering we experienced last summer (summer '09).

As we all know, this past summer was super hot.

We have several days while highs in the upper 90s and 100s.

Well, since the AC units in this building are old, and the insulation in these apartments are cheap, along with cheap thin windows and with balcony doors that are not great, my apartment heated up into the 80s, close to 90 degrees!!! And that's with the AC FULL BLAST!!!! I complained that my AC was not doing it's job of cooling down my apartment.

I was HOT in my apartment with the AC at full blast.

They came, cleaned the coils and added some gas to the unit downstairs.

NO DIFFERENCE.

Then they sent a letter to everyone in the complex (sure they had MANY complaints), saying that due to the hot weather we might experience warmer than usual temps in our apartments.

And then said some crap about how normal difference between inside and outside is 20 degrees.

So if its 105 outside, expect your apartment to be 85 degrees!!!
UNACCEPTABLE.

We got Electric bills of over $300.

So $569, plus $300 is $869.

Didn't add up.

This "cheap" apartment was more expensive than ever.

I moved to Alexan Sommerall in a BRAND NEW building with new appliances, and excellent insulation against the outdoor elements.

My electric bills are never over $90, and that's with AC, Washer and Dryer and MUCH bigger unit.

I am paying LESS now in a brand new unit than I did at Park Falls.

So yes, you might save money in rent, however you will pay for it in utility costs and live in an old unit.

Also, cars are broken into all the time...an attempt was made on mine, but luckily I was out on my balcony and saw the guy and yelled out.

Stay away.
