Manager doesn't care about residents

A few weeks ago, several cars were broken into in one night.
There is a security guard on watch 24/7. When the incident happened, some of the residents, including myself, approached the manager about the issue. Her name is Mary, I think. We each asked her separately what is going to be done about the burglary. Did the security guard see anything' Isn't the security guard supposed to screen every car that enters the property and write down the license plate number'
The manager's response was, "The security guard is not here for the residents. The security guard is there solely for the interest of the property."
What I assume she meant by this response was that she is not liable for damages to personal property. Fine. But what I also drew from her poorly worded response, was that the security guard is simply there to make the property look good to potential renters, but once you rent here, it won't be much help.
Of course, crime has no address--this cliche seems to be a favorite of apartment leasing managers. But it would be nice to know that the manager at least cares about her residents.
Many residents are getting the same message, and they all plan to move out. I foresee a different kind of clientele moving into this place--the kind that no manager wants on her hands.
I was hoping to call this place home for a while, but now I can't wait to move out because of management.

I agree. I also live in this complex and am having difficulties with maintenance and management. Finger Properties needs to get a hold of their management/staff at this complex and return it to how it used to be. I will not be renewing after 2 years at this complex.
