CHEAP prices BUT you will get ROBBED AT GUNPOINT!!! From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 2/14/2004 Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2004   I moved in to these apartments on 1/23/04. The apartment looked great. I got a 2 bed 2 bath 1042 sq ft for only $690/mth. Included a full size washer and dryer, all major appliances, fireplace, vaulted ceilings, huge bedrooms, walk in closets, big bathrooms, huge kitchen and very huge living room. Sounds great right' WRONG! The very first night I moved in, there was a drunk who had "messed" himself (gone to the bathroom on himself) and was crawling around on the ground (and all in the mud) right around my apartment. Apparently he does this EVERY night and his son just puts him outside till hes sober! I reported this to the leasing office, and they just acted like it was no big deal. There are access gates around the apartments. However, EVERY night, after the leasing office closes for the night (the staff do NOT live on the property), sometime around 11pm or so, the gates are "jammed" open. This allows ANYONE to come in and out of the gates all night. Then miraculously, the gates are working again by the time the leasing office opens the next day at 9am. This is very bad because it opens the place up to trouble. I reported this to the leasing office, and they said they never knew this was happening but would look into it and have it fixed. That NEVER happened. On 2/11/04 (yup only a few days ago), after living here only about 3 weeks, I was robbed at GUNPOINT right here at the apartments. This happened right in front of the leasing office (which is well lit, in front of the entrance access gates, and an area that is full of traffic from the residents. 2 black males ran up to me in the well lit parking lot and help up a large gun (one that required them to hold it with 2 hands instead of just one) to my head and snatched my purse. I reported this to the leasing office and they had the nerve to tell me...and I quote..."Well I am very sorry this happened to you. You can have the option of either us letting you out of your lease and giving you back your deposit so you may move OR you can just move into another apartment here. But let me tell you that this can happen ANYWHERE in Houston so it doesnt matter if you live here or another property because its just part of living in Houston." Of course I chose to move the hell out of this place! I cant believe they acted like this is normal. I know that crime in Houston is high compared to smaller towns, but not EVERYONE gets robbed at gunpoint here. Maybe everyone does here at THESE apartments though. Anyway....if you are smart, then do NOT move into these apartments! The rent is cheap, the apts are great, but you risk your life and safety if you live here!!!
