Ready to move!

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
I moved into this complex in December of 2004. I set an appointment to see an apartment on a Thursday and by the time I came on Sunday they had raised the price up $30. That was fine since it was still cheaper than anything else I had found. After I moved in, I heard stories of people's cars being broken into and vandalized, but at that point nothing had happened to mine. Parking was always a problem for people who worked or were in school. The apartments show their age although someone is always out landscaping. In about a 4 month span I had problems with just about everything in the apartment you could think of: electrical outlets, ceiling fan, heater, stove top, toilet, dishwasher, disposal and I had to get the carpet recleaned because it smelled like animal urine. One unsolved mystery was water seeping from under my stove, some mornings I'd get up and there'd be a puddle in the middle of my kitchen floor! On the 4th or 5th time of having maintenance come out they determined it was leaking from the apartment directly behind mine (go figure). Basically you get what you pay for, and the price fit the apartment until the management had the audacity to want a hundred extra dollars a month for this sub-par apartment. There have been no renovations what-so-ever, the gates that cost so much for them to install hardly work and bad people are still getting into the complex, parking is absolutely terrible and there have been too many manager changes to count, and I've been here less than a year and a half! I'd advise any smart person to look past this apartment, it is not worth the rent.
