Nice apartments if you don't care about the exterior or your car.

The Point @ Windmill Lakes used to be very nice and "the place" to live in this area of town. Unfortunatley, this is no longer true.
Requests for additional security cameras due to EXCESSIVE car break in's, vandalism, and "attempted" car jackings have been ignored (not even a return call). Not everyone living in the complex can park under the few security cameras currently installed.
To "improve" our security problems, the Houston police have informed us (a few weeks ago when they were here taking group vandalism reports) that they are no longer "allowed" to have the gate codes for immediate access to the grounds. They also said that the manager has informed them that the security cameras are never actually recording.
Several needed light posts were removed a few years ago and the lighting, especailly in the front parking area, is totally inadequate.
The exterior has been totally negleted (paint is peeling, gutters are falling, outside lights missing-blinking-burnt out, pool is often gross, etc., etc. etc.).
Problems are resolved very slowly (maybe they are too busy planning the next party'').
The positives: the interior of the apartments are very nice with a full size washer/dryer in each unit, the maintenance staff is ABOVE EXCELLENT at responding to residents' calls, the grounds person is always busy and VERY friendly. The lakes are enjoyable and the location is perfect - direct access to I45, Beltway 8, Downtown Houston, Pasadena, Clear Lake, and Galvenston (etc.). The complex is also very, very quiet.
