We have lived here for over a year now. Had I written this 5 months ago, I would have given a much more positive review. The management changed around that time and things have deteriorated since then. Overall the building has gotten dirtier, things are not maintained as well as they were, and the management (although caring and nice)seems a little slow to deal with problems. Here are the pros and cons:

Pros:
1. Good location - close to med center
2. Rents are reasonable comapred to similar apartment complexes in the area
3. Beautiful pool area that is never too crowded
4. Maintenance issues within the apartments themselves are dealt with quickly and correctly
5. Relatively nice renovated apartment units with good floor plans
6. Gym on-site

Cons
1. The hallways within the complex are very dirty and not power washed often enough. The parking lots are also dirty.
2. There is a pest problem - I'm sure this can happen anywhere with a climate like this but there are A LOT of ants on the property which often end up in the apartments.
3. The gym is really dirty and dusty and equipment (especially TVs) are often not working properly. The management does usually fix things but it seems to take several months.
4. Gates are often broken and left open. There have been at least 2 episodes in the last 6 moths where 10-15 cars have been broken into in one night. Again, I'm sure this could happen anywhere but I do not feel that the building is as secure as it could be or that the management has put a lot of effort into trying to make the building more secure.
5. The business center and coffee machine are only open during the hours that the management office is open (9-5ish). If you work during those hours, you will most likely not get to use those facilities.
6. The apartments are wood frame and noise from outside or neighbours can be a problem. That being said, this seems to be the case for most apartment complexes in Houston.
7. There is a pigeon colony that resides here and they will visit your balcony frequently and leave little presents ;) Their cooing can also be heard loud and clear through the thin walls.

Overall, this building is satisfactory but it could be better. It WAS better 6 months ago - hopefully it doesn't get any worse.
