Noisy with great pools. An average apartment complex.

Rio Grande Ranch was the first apartment I lived in when I moved to Houston. The grounds and the pools are really first rate. The staff was very friendly and helpful; however, they were loath to take action when we continually complained about our unruly neighbors. Which directly resulted in us not renewing our lease. The workout facilities are nothing special and tend to have some broken equipment.
There are a lot of families that live there and their children tend to make a lot of noise and run around the complex. The pools tend to be overrun with unruly, unsupervised children on the weekends. Our apartment had issues with roaches that would not go away. After we moved out there were was a killing and several rapes and robberies of tenants. However, this appeared to be an isolated incident, the result of a group of hoodlums that have hopefully be caught. Overall I felt safe during my stay there.
If you are looking for a quiet place to live I would suggest somewhere else.
