Actually, they did fix the gates, and I'm very happy with the new EZTag access - so that's something!
I will also add that the maintenance guys for major stuff are quick and efficient. For smaller stuff, they pretty much blow it off. I guess they're busy, and I understand priorities.
Now for the gym - I wish they would get that done! The equipment in Phase II is the pits...
My kids and I have had an ok experience living here. I guess my biggest complaint is that they made promises when I was looking at the place that they haven't kept.
When we moved in, I was told there would be activities for my kids - huh uh, nothing so far.
I was also told they were renovating the gyms with all new equipment - again, nope.
There are definitely some seedy characters living here, but I guess that's pretty standard in apartment living.
They can't seem to get the gates right, so there's always an easy way into the complex, either via a broken gate or side entry.
I have noticed that the front office often closes early or opens late, or are not answering their phones. I wonder what they're doing' There is one sort of foxy girl in the management office, so that's good to see when I stop in :) - but several of them do have an attitude. I guess that's also standard with apartment living, probably because they deal with deadbeats constantly, not paying rent on time. They're nice enough to me, but I can see how they could be nasty to deal with...
I'm glad I'm on the 3rd floor, because my downstairs neighbor is going nuts just by the basic walking and living my kids and I do. Apparently the floors are pretty thin, and we can't tiptoe around every day, so I feel for them, but hey...
All in all, coming from 12 years living in my own home, apartment living absolutely sucks. So maybe I'm overly critical. I give it 3 out of 5, and can't wait to move back into a house when my lease is up next summer!

Don't beleieve the hype. The models they show you are deceiving. The a/c unit on a 3 bedroom is above the guest bathtub (bummer) I signed an agreement with them 2 months in advance and the apartment was not ready at all on my move in date. I can't wait until my lease is up. The apartments are outdated, the stove and refrigerator are very outdated. Water is always in the walkways from the sprinklers. The walls are very thin - you can hear almost everything from your neighbors make you wonder if there is a fire wall between apartments. There was a security guard riding around the 1st few weeks I moved in don't see him anymore. The apartments are not energy efficient, signals for cell phone and/or the internet is null and void. The gate situation is mess. Paperwork in the office is a mess. The owners of this property need to revamp everything about this complex. Would not recommend this complex to my enemy

They do have events for kids...Pizza in the park, movie nights when the theatre wasn't an office, and even smores. I do recall that the day you wrote this review they were passing out candy at the front office for Halloween. Even today they have feed the ducks and a big dinner for the residents. Yes I can hear my upstairs neighbor sometimes, but who can't in an apartment. The ladies and gentlemen in the office and work crew are great. They do thier best. Seems bitter people only sign in. For the location and the price...Not too shabby. Plus they are trying to improve. Better than letting things go.

Yeah, what happened to that movie theater? We were told that as soon as the renovation of the Phase 2 bldg was done, it'd open back up. Nope again.
hey, I'm not bitter, just telling it like it is. If I were wanting to move in, I'd like to know this stuff as well. Promises are not meant to be broken, but to be kept. When they upgrade the gym, open the theater, etc - I'll write a nice review.

Compared to most apartments around the area i think it's actually pretty good. Its safe, they host little events for thanksgiving and stuff (never attended, but hey, its a nice idea), jacuzzi, pool, nice landscaping, ez tag gates, workout rooms (some stuff has crapped out, true, but most stuff in there works fine!). and i love the ducks! :)
im 21 living with my boyfriend and it's really been pretty cool.. everyone's nice for the most part, and it's nice to come home to. I could understand how having kids it may be cramped or you could have neighbor issues. But i think people forget they are in apartments- not a house. i may be a bit biased since our last apartment was a nightmare. There are some negative points (mostly the slow responses to all these promises), but overall I think the problems are small. I'm happy here and that's gotta count for something.
