I've been living at Sabine for about 6 months now and really love it. I'm not sure exactly what people are talking about when they say they had problems with management (both old and new). I've never had any problems. In my experience, problems with any apartment management arise when you (the renter) approach the manager in a rude manner. But that can be said in most situations.

I do have some issues, however. The road closures are a definite problem. Allen Parkway is closed A LOT for various parades, marathons, etc. It seems like lately, most weekends I have a problem getting home because of closures. However, there is some website you can go to to find out about road closures.

Noise is also a big problem. Because of the concrete floors and tall ceilings, it seems like sound just really travels. Believe me, I know that hearing some noise is expected when living in an apartment, but when you can hear your neighbors exact conversation when they're arguing or can tell the exact route the people living above you are traveling accross the floor, it seems a bit excessive. Personally, when I'm watching TV, I like to listen to what's on my TV only...not have to listen to what the characters on another show are saying through the wall.

Parking is kind of a problem, but not because there isn't enough. Usually you can park on your floor, but if you come home late, chances are you'll have to go up a couple of levels. This is mainly because of the "tailgating" problem. But who really cares so long as you get a spot somewhere. If you'd rather, you can always get a reserved spot (not really worth it in my opinion).

Other than that, I would definitely recommend it. Maintenance always responds immediately (and you can put in your request online). There are all kinds of tenant events (definitely recommend brunch on Saturday). And the whole place is very dog friendly. Previously there were problems with people cleaning up after their pets, but I think that's been pretty much resolved. Not sure if I'll renew...but mainly because I just can't afford it anymore.
