Have lived here for 6 months. Very pleasant staff. Next to bayou and near downtown, makes for convenient jog or walk on scenic path with frisbee golf and skateboard park. Amazing fireworks display with best view in town off roof of parking garage.
Regular scheduled social activities, nice exercise facility, coffee bar and tv parlor. Very low noise. Maintenance staff responsive. Had issue with refrigerator, fixed within 24 hours. A/C died, fixed within 6 hours. Assistant manager, Chrissie always has a smile and has been very helpful.
I will need a slightly larger place upon lease renewal and have looked at several other options in town.....will likely resign with Sabine.
On the negative side, depending on the location of your unit, it could be quite a walk down the hallways getting from the garage to your home. This becomes a hassle if you have groceries. Management should consider a couple carts at each level of the parking garage to help residents with logistics.
Also, there is an issue with odor near the trash receptacle on the first floor. This is particularly noticeable to residents who are picking up their mail which is right next to the problem area. I would not want to locate in any of the units near there.

so they basically are located near a park and once a year you can watch the fireworks from the parking garage. seems like everything broke in your apartment and the place smells like hell.

Had two things go wrong over a period of 7 months (does that sound like everything?).....if you've you ever owned a home you know that things will break from time to time. The important thing is response time and effectiveness of the maintenance team. Doesn't matter where you live, something WILL break.....that's why I pointed these two things out. This is an honest assessment of the complex. Maintenance staff is Great as is the assistant manager. As for the odor, it is very localized. I have visited many condos, homes, apartments and high-rises around town. They all have problems. The whole place at Sabine Lofts DOES NOT "smell like hell". Your over simplification of my comments is a totally inaccurate assessment of conditions. In providing a balanced perspective I considered that some might like to know that most units in the building are great, but given the choice I would steer away from the trash receptacle. This advice is no different than I would give for any of the other complexes I visited while looking for a larger unit. The Fireworks display is just one of many benefits of this location. Yes it is near a beautiful park area, but in case you didn't notice, I mentioned that there are REGULAR social activities scheduled at the Lofts. I'm not about to name them all. It appears that you have taken my entire message out of context.....
