These apartments are beautiful! They are spacious and so reasonably priced. We paid $1295 for a 3 bedroom/2 bath with a washer dryer, lots of closet space, huge bathrooms, a large living area and kitchen, etc. This place is a great value. Our apt. also came with an unattached garage at no additional cost, which is hard to find in Houston. The pool area was gorgeous, and the workout facilities were nice. In addition, there was a security guard while I was there, which did make me feel a little more secure about who was coming in and out of the complex.
The downside to this place is the location. It's in the general vicinity of the medical center, but not in the nicest area. Some of the complexes in the same area are surrounded by barbed wire which is scary. The residents weren't the highest quality and I didn't always feel completely comfortable around everyone although nothing horrible happened. The complex also feels somewhat isolated because the only things near by are other complexes.
There were parties fairly often, and they could get pretty noisy. People were at the pool really late into the night (past when it was closed) and it was sometimes hard to get to sleep with everything going on. To add to the noise, noisy trains went by frequently.
Finally, parking was an issue. We had a 3 bedroom, but a two car garage. There was virtually no other parking so we had to put one car in front of the garage. Sometimes, other residents did this as well. There were a few parking spaces around the complex, but these were usually a long walk to our apartment, and this felt very scary at night, especially because the complex was not well lit.
I think this is a great value. You get a very nice apartment for a reasonable price. We never had issues with maintenance of quality. As long as you're OK with having a bit of a drive to get any where, and with the surrounding areas, this is a nice place to live.

I have to agree with the reviewer and add to the negatives, the walls are thin so you'll hear anyone having a conversation outside or any noise outside including your neighbors. There are or seem to be a lot of roudy people around now hence the need for the security guard, it wasn't a proactive move for the guard, it was a reactive move which is typically how the complex managment seems to operate. They don't fix or solve issues before they get out of hand, they wait for residents to complain or threaten to move out or worse for soemthing to happen then react to it. As for the pool, lots of noise there, they charge more to live there and its so not worth it, the view is definitely offset by the noise factor. Lately it smells like dog crap everywhere too. To add to the positives, maintenance is phenomonal, the grounds are kept well groomed, and the apartments (inside) are nice though some other complexes in the area have been newly renovated and are about 2/3 of the cost compared to the mostly old style in these apts. The attached garage is awesome. Most people we know have move out within the year to either another complex in the area or a house.
