I have lived here going on 4 years and the only reason I stay is because I take care of my apartment and don't have alot of breakdowns. But when I do it doesn't take a couple of days, it takes a couple of months. My neighbor got mugged on the second landing in the lighting! They followed her up the stairs and stole her purse right in plain sight. My other neighbors apartment was almost robbed, but they could not get the doorknob all the way off to let themselves in and his freezer did not fully work for the entire 1 and 1/2 years he lived here. The rent is reasonable, but they must be getting rich off the rents, Lord knows they do not spend a dime on repairs. Since Hurricane Katrina, every jail bird in Louisiana lives here on welfare or FEMA money. They are scary and they are rude and inconsiderate. Boom boxes at all times of the night, rims on trucks being stolen, cars with flats and NOW there are Wal-Mart shopping carts sitting in the parking lot. The office staff has changed over AT LEAST 7 or 8 times since I have lived here and MBS IS THE SUCKIEST MANAGEMENT COMPANY IN THE CITY..... THEY DON'T PAY THEIR BILLS AND THE RUN EVERY PROPERTY THEY MANAGE IN THE GROUND. THEY EVENTUALLY BECOME GHETTOS. EVERY ONE OF THEM. AND THIS IS THEIR CORPORATE OFFICE IN HOUSTON. DOESN'T THE OWNER CARE WHAT IS HAPPENING TO THEIR INVESTMENT!!!!! I was in the business for 14 years and watched them do it. As of today, the grass hasn't been mowed in 2 weeks.

As of today 3/31/06, the grass still has not been mowed....starting to look like a jungle over here. I agree with this post. I have been living here several years and ever since MBS Management Company started running the property, this place has turned downhill. Before MBS, people loved these apartments....now it has turned New Orleans gang rap. I would love to know how much these people are paying in rent. There is no way they are paying $760 for a 1 bedroom as I am.

I am not sure as to where "unhappyrenter1969" and "Anonymous" resided here in this complex but the building in which I live and the surronding buildings are free from your so call "Louisiana jail birds" and "New Orleans gang rap". I am a tenant who is in fact an evacuee from New Orleans and I absolutely resent the negative conotation and the preconcieved notions that have been thrust upon "these people" from N.O. I am a mother of two young kids who receive two Masters Degrees in Sept 2006 and who has a husband who has been working damn hard in your gracious city ever since the storm.
In reference to how much we are paying to live here is not any of your business but I need you to know that we own our home in N.O. and believe me when I tell you that my payments was much more than the $760 that you are currently paying. I need all of you who are very small minded and prejudical to first of all get to know at least one person from N.O. before you judge the entire city and more importantly, I need you to remember that there has always been crime in this lovely city of yours so don't blame everything on us. Before we came here in August 2005 Houston's murder count was a little over 300. Deal with that.

Well our crime rate certainly has trippled since New Orleans came along didn't it? Lets not be ignorant, we all know what Houston has to deal with now that your here so don't try and act like bad things and more crime are not happening. AND IT IS -------- THAT YOU PAY LESS RENT THAN I DO!! HOW LONG HAS IT BEEN SINCE KATRINA AND I STILL HAVE PEOPLE IN MY APARTMENT OFFICE WHERE I LIVE PAYING CHEAPER RENT THAN I DO!! I AM GLAD OUT OF THE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WE TOOK IN THAT YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND WORK, SPREAD THE WORD TO YOUR LAZY HOMIES TO GET A JOB AS WELL OR GO BACK TO THE RAT HOLE YOU USED TO CALL HOME!! GET OVER YOURSELF IT IS WHAT IT IS AND BEFORE YOU SAY ANYTHING NEGATIVE ABOUT HOUSTON THINK ABOUT WHO PUT FOOD ON LOUSIANAS TABLE AND WHO GAVE HOUSING TO ALL OF YOU UNAPPRECIATIVE FOOLS, BLACK AND WHITE! GO HOME!!!
