THIS CITY WIDE CHAIN SUCKS

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2007

I moved into Skylane at Alabama and Day (right where Alabama crosses under Spur 527 - on the Montrose area side) after the breakup from a cheating boyfriend. If I had known what I was in for, I'd have stayed with the boyfriend.

The DAY I moved in, I went to the office and told them EVERYTHING that was wrong:

#1 The front window was broken (has a big missing piece of glass that they put duct-tape over).
#2 The faucet for the kitchen sink wobbled back and forth and had water CONSTANTLY pouring from it even though it was turned off.
#3 The bathroom sink wasn't even connected to the drain.
#4 The was a hole in the ceiling over the bathtub where the upstairs neighbor's tub appeared to have leaked til it came thru in the below apartment. Again they duct-taped the hole over
#5 The kitchen cabnets were falling apart (doors wouldn't close, top caveing in etc etc).
#6 the complex of 32 units has 2 washers and 2 driers and they run on TOKENS, where do you GET the tokens' From the office that is always closed of course. Oh, the is only one WORKING washer and dryer

They PROMISED it would all be fixed. That night (and many thereafter) there were 6 gunshots right outside my door.

Not only did they NOT fix the things that were wrong, they came BEATING on my door one morning about rent. (I work nights and hadn't picked up my check yet - and Bill the incompetent ---- KNEW it - we had discussed it the week prior)

The NEXT WEEK, he did it again. I just didn't open the door this time and he posted a notice on my door for unpaid rent from 6-8 months prior (I'd only been there 4 weeks at this point) I went to Bill again & he assured me that it was wrong.

(OF COURSE it was wrong it had MY apt # on it, the name of the previous tennant and the unpaid rent of the guy before him. The guy Bill replaced wasn't so bright either, he never bothered to post anyone's payments)

I came home from work that night to find they cut off MY power over the unpaid rent that I didn't owe) I went into the office and informed Bill, the clueless one, that my lights were off. He told me that there was not even a lease in my name (again thanks to the prior office manager)

Bill then told me that he'd turn my lights back on, he did - EIGHT HOURS LATER

Two nights later, the lights were again turned off, and Bill proceeds to tack an eviction notice to my door - AGAIN IN THE NAME OF THE PREVIOUS TENNANT AND AGAIN WITH AN UNPAID AMOUNT OF OVER $1500

I went to the office & Bill told me that I'd have to pay the unpaid amount BEFORE I could get a lease in my name.

This place is a RIP-OFF
