Hit or miss... for us it was definitely a miss

I know there are mixed reviews for this place, and thats because some buildings are better cared of than others. The apartment unit my boyfriend moved into was nice at first. The outside was pretty ghetto, and there was always people walking about the complex at all hours of the night. We loved the layout though.. we really wanted to make it work.
During the day we noticed a few roaches here and there, around the sink, scurrying on the bedroom floor, nothing out of the usual for Texas. But when night came around, they came around too... I went to go brush my teeth the FIRST NIGHT i was there... and i walked into the bathroom to find a medium size cockroach perched on the head of my toothbrush.. GROSS!!! There were cockroaches of all sizes, we killed at LEAST 10 in the bathrooms alone that first night.. these were ---- german cockroaches too. My boyfriend couldn't take it so he moved out two days later. When he was moving his furniture back out, there were roaches on the frame of the bed and on the couch.. they spared no time moving in to his furniture... *shivers* i really don't know why they lease that apartment out at all, it is not inhabitable by any means (talk about health code violations).
Make sure you do a FULL inspection of the unit before you accept it.. or just dish up the extra cash a get a decent place... oh, and there's asbestos in the ceilings as well.. we were told by management "not to hang anything from the ceiling".. so there you go
oh, and the laundry facility is a joke. there is an huge foot-wide open ditch running along the back of the washer/dryers filled with mudd and disgarded underwear, clothes and rubbish... im just glad that my boyfriend is out of there.
