There's a reason apt communities will give you such great discounts on rent, they're desperate to fill vacancies and they don't care who LIVES here.
My husband and I moved in here November of 2008, with our 2 year old daughter. We were from out of state and needed a place close to my husbands work AND because they offered us such an amazing deal on the rent we signed the lease. I did not read the reviews on apt rating until AFTER we signed the lease and I called back 24 hours later crying and asked if we could get out of the lease since we had not moved in yet. Of course, they said: NO.
I'll tell you the positive first. We have never had a break in and for the most part if they're going to shut off the water they will let us know 24 hours in advance.
But after almost a year of living here we are happy to be moving. The apartments are old which wouldn't be so bad, but they are poorly maintained. The pool is GREEN the hot tub has never worked, and as of recent we have started dealing with mice in our walls. DISGUSTING! When we asked ------ and ----- at the leasing office for maintenance help they gave us "glue traps" and pretty much said take care of it yourself.
There are leaf blowers at our bedroom window as early as 7:30a.m. on any given morning (even Saturday.) The landscaping is only cared for in the front of the leasing area, everywhere else there are patches of dirt where grass should be. Lastly, we will not miss our apartment that has smelled like cigarette smoke since the day we moved in, or our inconsiderate neighbors who smoke and leave their cigarette butts and trash everywhere.
Save yourself the heartache and pay a little more to live somewhere better.

This is by far the worst place i've ever lived. It was only a six month lease but so much happened! For some reason they kept drilling the concrete inside the apartment...which apparently meant no flushing the toilet, no shoers, no washing your hands etc. I had to live somewhere else for a few weeks in total. The lady manager lied to me and told me i had a $99 move in. A few days later i was served an eviction notice. I thought it was a mistake but the manager tried to say it was what i wanted to here and i showed her the note on the brochure she gave me in her hand writing and had to threaten a lawsuit. She had to give it to me but was extremely rude about it. Before i signed the lease, man she was so sweet and kind. I couldn't believe i fell for that act. She showed me an apartment that was recently vacated. The apartment which was "mine" wasn't clean at all. She said she wasn't suppose to show me a dirty apartment but had only one left. The people who lived there before me had a big nasty dog that ---- etc everywhere. The blinds were mangled, holes and cigarette stains etc everywhere it was a pig pen. When i moved in i had to clean up alot, the fridge, the floors, the blinds were still mangled. She promised me she ordered new blinds, they finally came 4 months into my 6 month lease. I had to remind the office every other day and was told it shoud be here "any day now"...I came home one night after school and work to my neighbor being held up at gunpoint. I called the cops who showed up 45 minutes later. This had happened before but never so close to me, we all complained and the complex never once warned anyone. The gate stayed open they never fixed it. My neighbor drove an old school Caddy with rims and chains, people going in and out all hours of the day and night, obviously a dealer. Someone tried to break into my apartment one saturday night because they thought nobody was home, thank god i have a 75 pound chow chow who would have mauled them anyways. They never came in as they realized it would be a mistake. I was walking my 75 pound chow one evening when my dog was behind a bush doing his thing when some guy came up to me wearing a towel. I am a 19 year old female who is never scared of anyone when i'm next to my dog. I didn't even look at the idiot, my dog came around the bush growling and the man started running just in time, because me dog ran after his ---, unfortunately he was leashed and knew he couldn't get to him. My point is not everyone had a badass dog, if i didn't have him, i could have been raped, murdered etc. At the end of my lease, i payed everything quickly, i wanted the hell out of this rat hole. This was my first apartment and i was stupid. The office sent me to collections for bills i already payed. They make alot of money on the side by doing this. The witch managers attack dog a feminine african american man, lied for her all the time. They treated everyone like ----. The receits they gave us always faded after a couple of days so i had no proof. It turns of one of my good friends from high school rented here right after me, they also sent him to collections and almost everything that happened to me, happened to him. This area is not bad, just this complex. The management isn't just not helpful, they are bad people who many of us former residents believe are in on the thefts etc that happen here. BTW they only landscape the front of the apartments, not the sides or the back, the pool is always green etc. Man, i could right a damn book. It is really sad, since then i have never had any problems with any other complex. If you rent here please be careful, they are going to take advantage of you. They may be cheap but you will pay in the end.

My experiences with this complex were about the same as every other person's. The apartments are full of mold and poorly maintained. The grounds are just mud puddles and there are sewar rats the size of small dogs that run around the outside of the apartments. The gates never work, there are "extra" charges tacked onto your monthly rent all the time and the office staff lie, lie and then lie some more. I am sure they are simply following orders, but they sure are RUDE and condescending. I am now happily living in a new, clean, safe apartment for the same money. No, that dump is NOT cheap in price, only in the way it is run. It is not in a safe area and there is no attempt to make it safe. Save your money, sanity and dignity and go somewhere else. Oh, and don't expect your deposit back when you move. DO expect an extortion letter for a ridiculous amount of money for ridiculous charges. I was told that I was expected to leave the apartment ready for "immediate occupancy". I guess that included me fixing the broken down dishwasher, the electrical outlets that never worked, etc. I also wonder why they bother paying that "cleaning" woman if we are supposed to leave the apartment in perfect condiditon. Just a bunch of mean creepy people.
