I have been living in the steeples for about 4 years and I admit I had no problems for the first 2 years. The management sucks big time!! I got a lock out notice for $5.00 and then they added $75.00 because it was late. The maintaince is horrible, there are roaches the size of africa flying around. Not to mention the major stray cat problem that are everywhere tearing up everything.Last but not least you have the ghetto tenants they allow to move in with there domestic violence issues. I highly recommend that no one rents here!!!!

Lived here?

Manager's Response

From: Manager Date: 07/04/2007
Letters are sent out to residents that have a balance, however the only time a late fee is charged is when the rent is late and there are no charges for $5 balances. I am 100% sure that when this resident came to the office they were not charged $75 late fees. Also everyone that applies at The Steeples is required to pass our qualifying criteria process. If they do not pass then they are denied the privilege to live here. Fair Housing states that if an applicant passes our qualifying criteria that we can not deny them from living here.

The "criteria" process has apparently changed from when we moved in. More obnoxious tenants are moving in who violate city ordinance laws daily. Office staff repeatedly make errors with balances, and maintenance is spotty at best. There is a MAJOR roach problem here, and management has changed three times in seven months. Would I recommend anyone to move here? Not likely.

Alright, Manager Have y'all resolved the issues of cockroaches, broken gates, and washer/dryer machines not working? Are you still rude to all of your residents? Will pizza places deliver there now? And just because a person doesn't have a felony on record doesn't mean they aren't shady
