they're alright

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009
we lived there for a year now. it's quiet in my building, no complaints about neighbors (nothing that would bother the average person).
pros:
-very spacious, lots of room (we live in largest 2 bedroom)
-plenty of parking (all the buildings on the west side of complex never run out of parking space)
-maintainence USUALLY responds pretty quick
-compared to the other 6 apartments i've ever lived in, this one has been the most pleasant (so far -- mind you, i have not moved out yet)
cons:
-washer and dryers aren't old, but very cheap (our dryer is VERY LOUD and they've "fixed" it three times - but the loud squeeling noise keeps coming back)
-the AC venitlation is HORRIBLE. it only works in the bedroom and livingroom, it does not work in the guest bathroom or 2nd bedroom. it's a design flaw, they can't fix it.
-the worst thing you could ever do is look inside the air-ducts (one of our AC vents was backwards, so i took it off to switch it the other way - it's by far the nastiest thing i've ever seen)
-walls are paperthin (you can hear your neighbors tv if it's loud enough), some people might see this as a con, but it has never bothered me.
notes:
-i have never used the pool, so i can't give opinions there
-we have a dog, and yes, he poops and pees outside (away from other apartments), they do have doggie "poop trash" recepticles on property, but no one ever uses them.
-we exercise in our apartment, so we don't use the gym. i've seen others use it a lot (coming home, you can see in the windows to it), so i don't think it's got any problems.
-they had some car break-ins 5-6 months ago, but they did inform everyone about it.
i could probably "knit-pick" and find other small pros and cons, but these are the main ones i can give. it's just an opinion from someone who has enjoyed staying here. i plan on renewing our lease another year. i hope this was an honest review for anyone looking. i'd recommend living here (it's better than other places you could live), if you can afford the expensive rents (they are 200 more a month since they renovated).
