nice for my first place

i stumbled upon this complex when i was looking for a place to live in a new city. i was unfamiliar with the area, and i got lucky in that it is VERY convenient to everything i do - minutes from the galleria, downtown and rice village. overall i liked it, but i'm finding a new place when my lease is up - the cons are too much for me, especially the first one...
CONS:
the railroad and gravel pit is VERY loud and dusty. i have to wash my car all the time, and it still gets dusty. also, they wet down the road right in front of the complex so it becomes brown sludge that gets all over my car every day. i was told it is only loud on the weekdays between 9-5, but it's really all day into the evenings and even on the weekends starting at 5 a.m. sometimes.
parking can be a problem, but only late at night, and especially on friday/saturday nights.
there are quite a few people that really like to party loudly late at night.
PROS:
the staff is polite but not overly friendly - the repair service/maintenence calls are answered very promptly though, and that's what matters to me.
the apartments are nice, but the walls are pretty thin. i can hear my neighbor's phone ring sometimes, and i swear an elephant lives above me b/c i ALWAYS here it walking around.
the pool area is great, and the staff puts out pool toys in the summertime and has bbq/cookouts every now and then.
