Great place--but, I no longer feel safe.

I think this apartment complex is great--except for a few issues. The leasing staff are always nice, maintenance staff are FANTASTIC, and the grounds look beautiful. Only two problems. One, there is some sort of aggregate company next door bringing in and out truck/train loads of dirt. This ruins the roads around the area and makes my car perpetually dirty. But, I imagine that there is nothing that Stonewood can do about that. Two, someone was held up at gun point a few weeks ago in the parking lot. I know this because I was there immediately afterwards. Stonewood did send out a letter that there was "deadly criminal activity" in the parking lot, however, they did not tell the tenants what happened so that they could be adequately prepared. Furthermore, I talked to the new security guard the other night, who had no idea that a tenant had been robbed at gun point in the parking lot. I am glad that they hired new security, but, if they aren't aware of the "deadly criminal activity" problem, how are they to sufficiently protect us' Unfortunately now, I no longer feel safe in the parking lot. After dark, I run from my car to my apartment with my car alarm button in my hand. Talk about anxiety. I still feel safe in my home, but, I am afraid that the robber has ruined my sense of security in this parking lot forever.
