when I first moved here the apartments seem to be nice, they were!! Until about 8 months in, they had a managment change!!! Big mistake!! Ever since, driving in to the apartments doesnt feel quite the same, considering all the thugs in the entry way washing their cars and staring at you, or driving up and seeing the police its not too bad!I know of one resident that live here for about 10 years and one last arrival of the sherrifs department she left the next day!!! dont move here its bad!! your probably better off somewhere else. Unless they get a managment staff that actually cares then we might see some change.

Thank you for sharing your review. I'm out of state investigating a fraudulent charge made with my VISA to a: Viet Tran Sunbury Downs Apts 8200 Sunbury Ln Apt 622 Houston, TX 77095-2933 Now that it's been confirmed it's a Projects or ghetto it all makes sense. Whoever did this will be found. I see JAIL TIME in your near future for Fraud and Identity theft. Karma will prevail.

Sunbury Downs isn't a ghetto or the projects. I'm not sure that the state of Texas actually has projects because everyone is expected to fend for themselves even if they're infants. The vaulted ceilings in the second floor apartments are nice, and the pools are nice enough for kids. Your kids should probably learn Spanish anyway if you're going to raise them in Harris County, and what better way to learn than from the neighbors. [Seriously, if you're not from Texas and you're planning on taking a job in Houston with any prejudice against Mexican people or Mexican culture, you need to decline that offer ASAP. Houston might as well be Monterrey or Juarez as far as newcomers are concerned.] I had about $1500 worth of stuff stolen from my van here (everything was in full view) and I can only chalk it up to naivete. At the time I figured that Sunbury Downs was a far-suburban complex and that criminals wouldn't bother to come all the way out here; I was young and stupid. These days the whole area more closely resembles an urban setting, regardless of the commute time. In an urban area it's best to leave nothing in sight inside your car. Theft is what it is. You could live in Podunk where your next door neighbor is less likely to break your window and take your ----, but you would have to accept either the prevailing salary in Podunk (which is substantially lower than the salary in Houston) or accept the fact that you'll never hold any job, which many residents of Podunk are perfectly okay with. I gave in -- Houston is where the jobs are, and then I wrote off the amplifier and the tools which should not have been left in the car in the first place. If you remove everything from your car other than, say, Kleenex, and make sure your car alarm is working and visible, I think Sunbury Downs is an okay place to live. Copperfield in general is not the greatest neighborhood on Earth or in Houston but it is convenient if you work in the energy corridor and don't make energy corridor money. If you're moving to Houston to work downtown or in the Galleria, you should look for much closer apartments than these all the way out on 1960. The distance doesn't look like much on the map but you'll be kicking yourself at about week 2. There are a few garages in the complex if you absolutely have to leave stuff in your car but the rent on them never seemed worth it to me. I never felt personally at risk at Sunbury Downs, actually it's kind of an oasis at the end of a long summer day, but so were my apartments at 290/Hollister and down in the museum district where my stuff was stolen with equal frequency. I guess my main point is, don't leave your ---- out for other people to see and, if they're desperate enough at that moment, take. Nobody will break into your house while you're there but unless you live in your car, strip it bare every day. Viva freedom! Welcome to the greater Houston area!
