I would encourage anyone thinking of moving into TANGLBROOK APARTMENTS to definately think twice!!!! My experience, as well as the neighbors I have exchanged information with, has been horrendous!!! Don't be fooled by any of the advertisements either. For example, they claim to have 24-Hour Emergency Maintenance but guess what, doesn't exist!!! Your refrigerator goes out and "there isn't anything they can do it about now." It took 24 hours to get the situation handled, in the mean time, all my food spoiled and no one offered to do anything about. Oh, and mainteance didn't even connect the water line so the ice maker doesn't even work... Maintance 101 perhaps'''''
What did they care'
My apartment lost heat a half a dozen times during the few winter months Houston has
and again, "there isn't anything we can do about now." They have heat, what do they care'''
When I experience cooling issues in the hot Houston months, which have been reported repeatedly, it took a maintenance man filling in for the regular guy (who was on vacation thank God) to figure out that all the vents were closed and the air filter had never been changed. Management seems to see those things as something that should be requested, not automatically checked. I guess I was crazy to think those are typical things Maintenance should check when being called 5-6 times on a HOT apartment... what do I know!'!'!'! The best part is when the Manager "plays dumb" as if she had no idea of any of the issues... come on now, if she doesn't then she isn't a very good manager to not know what is going on at her own property, not to mention she LIVES on property!!!
Also, they advertise "controlled access" but guess what, the entrance and exit gates are always open so I wouldn't call that very "controlled access," would you' I could really go on-and-on but I think the picture is drawn well enough. Watch out for the price gouging that they do and don't expect help from the Corporate side becuase the Regional Manager isn't any better at getting things done as the Property Manager is.
Try one of the cheaper, friendlier apartments in the same area!!!!

24 hour emergency maintenance does not exist at Tanglebrook. For instance, my 2nd bathroom sink was leaking and this happened on a Saturday. But since we had a 2nd bathroom with a sink that was fully operational, they would not send someone in for emergency maintenance. Not to mention, that I just happened to have company in for a visit. All six of us had to use one bathroom sink over the weekend.
Headaches galore if you live here!!
