Like any apartment that is not outrageously priced, this place has it s pros and cons, but overall I m really happy with it.
Pros: *The most affordable, nice place I could find this close to downtown and the Galleria. Really, to be this close in, the price is exceptional. *I've had two maintenance issues since moving in, both of which were fixed within the next day of reporting them *Nice floor plan with washer/dryer *New appliances renovated in 2005 *Small-ish complex, and gated, so you feel safe *Water and valet trash pick-up are included in the rent. And you get to choose your own energy company.
Cons: *Whoever cleaned our apartment before we moved in did a very poor job - crumbs in the kitchen cabinets, old clothes and rags under the bathroom sink, cobwebs in the vaulted ceiling. *The person in the office flat out lied to my face and said the carpet in the apartment was brand new. Too bad I've found crumbs and dust collecting in the corners, as well as stains. I didn't even ask if the carpet was new - he went out of his way to lie to me about it. That's just sleazy. *There is not a ton of lighting outside the apartment, so I feel a little uncomfortable taking my dog outside at night
You should definitely come see the place for yourself. If you want perfection, be willing to pay a million bucks to live in The Renoir, but this is a great option for cheap-ish living close to town.
