While it was short lived, only six months, it was by far the best property I have lived in. People may complain that there is no parking.. Its not true.. There is no ground level parking but there is a 3 story parking garage. People complain about vehicle breakins... thats just houston, no matter where you go. The office people are always pleasant, the pool is always clean.. Everytime we places a work order there was someone there within 24 hours to fix it. My apartment flooded one day due to the next door neighbors, I had an inch of water on my floor, nothing that could be prevented, but the maintenence was there to help. The apartment manager was also there to help.. she was hobbling around on a foot she broke the day before to make sure we were taken care of. I had to move because I lost my room mate and could not afford it on my own.. I kick myself everyday for downgrading. I would recomment it to anyone!!!

The question you should ask is: Could the apartment complex prevented the flood in the first place? In my case it was a resounding YES. So, of course they were going to be nice. They don't address issues on time and bad things happen. Things have really changed in the last six months. When I moved in it was safe and friendly. Now, it's really bad. Lots of car break-ins and people walking around the complex in the middle of the night that don't live there. They used to have a GREAT maintenance man, that you could talk to. The new guys doesn't speak any English expect for "yes" and "no". Sometimes he tries to talk to me in Spanish or make hand gestures. It makes me wish I spoke Spanish. Unfortunately, things just don't get fixed properly. I told him my AC flooded the livingroom and he brought me a big fan to dry the carpet. Okay, well...that's temporary solution, but it is not going to prevent it from happening again. The office responded -- "Well, we hope you have renter's insurance. We don't cover anything water damage related." Thanks. You shouldn't write a review for an apartment that you USED to live in, It's not as nice as it used to be. The management AND manager have changed in the last six months.

NOT AN ACCURATE REVIEW, REALLY!

There are in fact two management guys-- the main guy "Mundo" does speak english and is very nice. I'm betting that his work life here sucks as he's quit once already and only came back because they offered him better pay. He stops to chat with me occasionally and eventhough he never gets the work orders from the office that I call in (yet he defends the ladies saying they are on up to their neck in paperwork since the new company took over) but he does the work anyway-- usually right away. His assistant doesn't speak much, so maybe that's who you dealt with.
