My fiance and I moved in back in August and have had nothing but trouble. We had water leaks from BOTH bathrooms that leaked into the carpet of my closet and in my bedroom. The carpet was soaked and the whole apartment smelled like mildew. They came in to clean it up, but it leaked again. When they finally came to fix the problem, they cut a whole in the wall and did a bad patching job. A package was delivered to the complex and mysteriously lost, even though we had confirmation that the package was delivered to the office. When we complained, the person working the office said all the packages are in a room, open for residents to come pick them up. So anyone could have picked it up. The package, worth over $800, was never found. Then we came back from our honeymoon to find that our SUV had been broken into with over $7000 damage. Over six cars were broken into that weekend. Around this time management changed, and promised better service. But we still have problems contacting people in the office. I call and call and no one answers, and I have physically gone into the office and no one is hardly there. One day there was someone, I reported maintenance issues and she wrote them on a notepad...never to be heard of again. Then we got a notice that we were 24 days late on rent, when we had paid with a cashier's check. The reponse, "Oops, my mistake." And to top it all off, yesterday my husband told me that the air-conditioning duct leaked in the dining room onto my laptop that was on the table. We have had nothing but trouble since we moved in here........and we can't wait to move out!!! Don't make the mistake we did.

You should have no problems breaking a lease with your police report and damages...Hire an attorney and get the hell out of there!
