I have been living in this apartment for a year, and just renewed for another 18 months.
Location is good. Nearby 59 and 610. 5-10 minutes to Galleria area. Neighbors are nice. I see people jogging or bicycling in the morning.
Room is spacious. A lot of closet spaces and shelves.
The construction is noisy. It starts around 7:30a.m. and ends around 6p.m., but it is almost done (I think). This happend even on the weekends. You cannot sleep in too late if you live near construction. You maybe able to get used to as well.
There is a security at the gate 24/7, but I see some security let people in without checking IDs. People can follow a car to get in as well. There were at least 6 cars broken into last night or earlier this morning. I don't know how frequently this kind of things happen, but security did not contact police till in the morning after someone reported the crime though security heard someone running around screaming.
There are some people who work at Management Office live in the apartment. Some people are nice. Others not. For the above case, one person drove away after hearing the complains and saw the broken windows, saying the person was off that day.
The apartment charges you pest control fee and trash fee in addition to your rent. Not a lot, but I saw cockroaches and tiny bugs here and there. You have to throw your trash by yourself to bins located near garage entrances.
New appliances and coutertops are nice, but I did not want to pay $100 extra per month to get them, so I did not. But current old appliances are really old.
Maintenance comes within 24 hours. But it is better to show the maintenance person directly if you can than telling problems to Management Office. Otherwise problem will not be fixed properly.
Lastly, but not least to some people, cable company the apartment has is horrible. Some channels are blocked all the time, and when you call, expect long wait or not helpful customer service.
I live here because of location. I hope the review helps you to think what is important to you.

Can you give a little bit more details on the break-ins? Did they break in the cars, or stole wheels? Was it in the garage or in the open lots?

Someone tried to steal the wheels off of my car a couple of years ago at this property. I was parked on the second level of the parking garage. I guess they got spooked because they didn't take the wheels but they had gotten every lug nut off. I went that day and got wheel locks. I have seen HUGE waterbugs around the apartment. I am calling today to have them spray. I think they are coming from the outside...? Also, I agree with the statement about the security. There is one guy that is completely useless. He needs to be fired. Aside from that, I love my apartment. Very comfortable here and my neighbors are really nice. Dahlia in the office has always taken very good care of me.

All cars attacked were located on 4th, 3rd and 2nd level of the garage attached to an apartment building located in front of the entrance gate. Some expensive cars were not attacked, so my guess is they broke into cars which had some sort of bag or box. Someone lost a computer. Security do have a camera at entrance (I don't know if they are recording any or it was just for monitoring), so I hope they can utilize those better to secure the apartment.
