Same old problem - Carpet x Deposit

The apartment is ok, nothing great but fair. I lived about a year on the 1516 Bering Dr on a one bedroom one den. The complex itself is small and not too noisy, at least the unit I lived - 3rd floor. Cleaning on the common areas might be an issue. As some of the tenants, including 2 other different friends, I do perceive a problem regarding the deposit. The company seems to be inclined to take a bite as big as they can from your deposit, and changing the carpet seems to be most common case. I am still discussing my case, so will keep you guys posted.
