Hi, I live at Tuscany and like other residents I am unhappy with the extra charges they charge for basic cable. When i was moving in we were signing lease papers and they asked what service we would be using for cable or satellite. We told them we had already gone with comcast and set up the service. She said they would not connect the service until we signed this waiver for the maintenance crew to "connect" the apt. to the service. She said it was just a permission form that we indeed wanted cable. One week later we decided comcast service was not reliable and disconnected. Then we found out we were in a contract with them to pay 40 dollars a month to them for cable and pay comcast for the same service again! I think its ok to move here but you just have to be very careful about what they tell you, take it with a grain of salt and assume they are trying to screw you.

Hi, my husband and I have Tuscany as a very good option to move in. We were not aware of this "cable charge" ($40) Can you tell us if this is the only extra-charge you have and if Comcast is the sole cable provider? What if we want another provider, do we have to pay also this charge?, Thanks.

You can use any satellite provider, but if you want cable you have to use comcast, which will charge you their basic prices at a slightly reduced deal for being at tuscany, then tuscany will charge you an additional 40 dollars a month the life of your lease. If you try to disconnect comcast they will still charge you 40 into your rent! We didnt know that until we tried to changet to satellite and they told us we couldnt. So other than that and a pet rent per month its not a bad place to live, just know what you want before they start having you sign documents. Otherwise tuscany is not a bad place to live in, 8 months now and I love the apt look, the management is a little lazy and the office girls are snappy. I like the maintenance guys, really nice and the parking is good. Good luck

Also be aware if your apartment does not face the right direction you can not get satellite. I set up an appointment with Directv to only have them come out and tell me it would not work. So I had no other option but to pay the $40 for Comcast.
