I will not renew my lease

I moved here in October 2003 and soon after my ex-husband jumped the fence and broke into my home and assaulted me. I told the ladies in the leasing office what happened, they seemed sympathetic but did not do anything to help. Now since my lease is up at the end of this month, they are trying to do everything they can to keep me there.
I overlooked the part on my lease that says I have to give a 60 day notice before moving out so I gave them notice on April 1 that I was moving out at the end of the month. The manager called me and told me that I could not move out until after 60 days so I have to stay here another month. I told her what happened to me back in November and now she's wanting to "make it as comfortable as possible" for me.
These people have no hearts and are only out for the money they are not concerned about anyone's safety.
Also, if you get home after 8:00 there are no available parking spots near the apartment which is scary when you're a single mother.
