My fiance and I moved in together for the first time in these apartments. Prior to this move, we each lived in different apts. in the same complex- Parque Del Oro for over 4 years each with NO PROBLEMS. We have never seen an apartment complex like 2111 Holly Hall. The office employs some of the most clueless and lazy individuals that you will ever meet. They got our move-in date wrong. No major cable carrier can service the area due to their run-down system. There was urine all over our toilet seat prior to our moving in. After reporting it 3 times, I had to just clean it up myself. We had to wait a day to move in (oh well for our Uhaul reservation) because their cleaning person hadn't cleaned our apartment; the only way we found out was because we insisted on checking before moving in. There was black sludge pouring out from under the dryer, hairs everywhere, a empty can in the freezer, NAILS laying around on the FLOOR!!! Our livingroom ceiling leaks everytime we take a bath upstairs! The kitchen cabinets are peeling and they promised us, prior to our signing the lease, that they would fix it. Once month later...nothing! The air conditioner can not cool the apartment adequately- anybody for 80 degree temps' Chemical smells leak into our apartment and the management simply told us that "it wouldn't hurt us". Then, we have ghetto-fest (mind you, I'm ------- American) 2008 every weekend at the pool complete with loud music. Our security apparently sees no problem with this. Then, I find out that the mailman had to return several checks of mine (for some reason the apt. number was not on it) because when he asked office personel what my apartment number was, rather than someone getting up off of their lazy butts and looking in the computer to see WHO PAYS THEM RENT, they told him that "they don't know". THIS COMPLEX IS HORRIBLE!!!

Very true. Apt falling off and the water doesnt drain thru sink. Exhaust makes loud noise and AC doesnt work. And believe me all this in one same apt.

This property is like 40 years old. If you want new shiny squeaky clean go live at a new community. I lived here in like 1999 and it was old as dirt then, I was in school and it was all I could afford. It was a mostly medical student property and we would all get together and study. I went by there to visit my niece recently and I can totally see how Katrina has changed our city. It's totally different. But I wouldn't expect a 40 year old property to have the luxuries of a brand new property that's why you only pay half the price of a new one!
