When we looked at these apts we thought how nice they looked. The problems dont start until you move in of course. The roaches are the worst! I couldnt even cook in my apt because they fall into your food while you are trying to prepare it. I reported this to the office and they did nothing! nothing!! I had to spend my social security money to set off bug bombs. That didnt work because there are sooooo many of them. The neighbors being noisy is another problem. However, if you stop to think about it, there are hardwood floors in most of the apt where you spend most of your time. I live on housing due to my disabilities and housing failed my apartment twice because the manager, Diana, didnt comply with their requests to exterminate and shampoo my carpets. Oh, also, be prepared to be told that when you move in you buy the fire extinguisher they give you. This fire extinguisher is required by law. They are supposed to furnish it to you so dont by into her lies about that either. I cleaned my apartment for an entire day when I moved out. I washed walls, floors, tubs and toilets. I shampooed the carpet and vaccuumed each room three times when I moved out. I made sure that all of the brads that were taken out of the walls from the pictures we had hung. I even went to the extent of washing the concrete outside on my patio. There was a hole in my wall that happened when I fell on my crutches. I hope no one thinks they helped me repair it. I had to hire a contractor to come out on memorial day weekend to fix it. I had to shampoo my carpet and I had to bomb for roaches......all of these requests were made by myself and Harris County Housing Authority and were blatently ignored by the management. I would rather live in a tent in the middle of downtown Houston than to live here. Protect yourself and your family and dont consider this place for one second!
