Worst place I have EVER lived in

Let's start with when I moved in- the office lost my rent checks various times, then would go INSIDE MY APARTMENT while I wasn't there to leave notices saying I owed them money on the checks they had lost. Everytime I went to the office, someone else was there and they would give me a different reason for why I supposedly owed the office money (none of these reasons was right in the end), then they would tell me the problem was taken care of. Next month; surprise surprise, another note on the inside of my door. They know I have a cat in the office, but they go in there anyway. What if she was to run out, like she tries to do with me' Are THEY going to stop her' I doubt it. They finally left a notice for almost $900 owed on my door and I went back to the office (again), where it was revealed that they had lost various checks of mine (they were discovered in the safe), and were charging me interest on those lost checks. The lady I talked to made a comment about the complex couldn't even pay its water bill. That's nice- I'm not paying it for you cause you lost my rent checks. It took 2 days of talking to various employees and the manager to get things worked out.
As for the apartment itself, it's very cute, but looks isn't everything. If everyone's apartment is like mine, then I guarantee you they do not pay the maintanence guys enough. Everything has broken down at least twice since I moved in. At least the maintanence guys are quick to respond and very nice, since it seems like they practically live in my apartment. Early after I moved in, a rat died under my kitchen sink. It was almost a foot long when they pulled it out. But wait! It gets better! They found a mouse hole behind my stove while they were looking for the source of the smell. Great. Well, at least my cat has something to do while I'm at work.
Other complaints compiled: neighbors using my porch as a garbage bin. Glad to know you're too disabled to get to the one in the parking lot. My upstairs neighbor's door got kicked in at one point. The shirtless guys with their pants to their knees hanging out in the parking lot. And it's always fun to drive home after a long day at work to see a 10 year old flicking you off. Nice. And let's not forget the cars management touted to me about when I was looking. You know' Those old, abandoned cars. The woman who showed me the property said a person checks once a week for abandoned cars. Really' One guy actually ran his car into the grass area and just painted a For Sale sign on it and left it there. Various other cars have been sitting for months with flat tires and no signs of use.
Other than that, the layout is extremely cute, but the complex is located in a bad area, the apartments need to be completely redone to fix problems, and the management staff needs to get its act together. I can't wait to move!
