good outweighs the bad most of the time

There were so many problems when we first moved in that I actually hated this place, but the good outweighs the bad most of the time. At first, the fire alarms were a nightmare, and there was an actual fire that most people ignored because they were so used to false alarms. The fire knocked out the elevator in one wing for quite some time and there was water damage in the hall that they eventually fixed by putting in some really hideous flooring that does not match anything else in the building. There are some homeless people around the area, but the Sears Automotive by Ventana is NOT abandoned, and I have not seen any homeless people hanging out there. The light rail station is just three blocks away with no-hassle access to downtown, the museums and the Med Center. Within walking distance, there are music clubs, shops and eateries, and there's a supermarket a block away. Our apartment is beautiful, the grounds are lovely and the amenities are excellent (including the cybercaf??, club, pool and courtyard cooking area). The staff is very helpful and considerate, and we've made friends with several wonderful fellow tenants.
