...which has been of much discusion on here there?s a bigger problem with this complex. Meaning specifically, no security to speak of. Its not entirely their fault because this complex borders a bad neighborhood to the east, but there was a sexual assault of a female resident a few months back. My friend that still lives there (for now!) showed me the notice all the residents got! Someone busted into a resident?s place pretending to be selling magazines.



I looked at this complex in 2001 and the leasing agent guy asked me if I had a gun, when I said I was interested in a first floor unit!! Aparrently, it?s very dangerous to live there as a single woman. I moved in later with a roommate and had no problems, but one thing anyone should know is to not live on the south side of the complex!! Both the in and out gates are frequently broken. This is a major inconvenience and dangerous when you pull in, see the cones and have to back out onto Almeda again in the middle of the night.



There was a rent-a-cop there a couple of nights a week, but there is no guard in the guard shack ever. You just rely on your code to get in and anyone can follow your car in the 3 gates. I know this because we were frequently pestered by young black males "selling magazines" door to door. This was of course before we knew about the attacks. Overall it?s a very nice complex, but if you are a single women, be very careful at night and don?t ever open your door!



If you are dead set on renting here, just be careful but I would check around at other places first.
