NOT WORTH THE MONEY

I have been at this apartment complex for over a year now. Physically, the apartments are really nice. But for the price (over $700 for a 1 bdrm.) they are nowhere near worth it. I'll let the facts speak for themselves:
Over the past six months, water to the ENTIRE COMPLEX has been cut off twice for days in a row due to pipe leakage. The same apartment has been robbed twice in a four month period. There have been two gunpoint robberies that I know of in the parking lots, and there was a string of car break-ins earlier this year. I understand that we live in a major city and these things are bound to happen. However, NO NOTICES WERE SENT TO THE RESIDENTS TO INFORM US OF THESE INCIDENTS! According to the management staff they "didn't feel a need to inform residents about the robberies because it wasn't such a serious problem."
In addition, the walls are terribly thin, and I am constantly listening to whatever music/tv/movie my neighbors are playing. I've filed complaints with the management about one particularly loud neighbor. I was told that I should "go over and talk to him or her myself." I couldn't believe it. Apparently this is a trend. One of my neighbors was forced to call the Houston Police to resolve an issue with a noisy neighbor because the apartment management refused to address the problem for so long. And when they finally did address it, they wrongly accused ME of causing the problem. I had to explain to them that they had gotten it mixed up.
My opinion is that you could live safer, more comfortably, and much more cheaply someplace else. To anyone who reads this, I would recommend that you SAVE YOUR MONEY and LOOK ELSEWHERE. I absolutely cannot wait until my lease is up.

If you owned a house and had noisy neighbors, what would you do? CALL THE POLICE! You need to take a more active role! The apartment complex maintains the property but not to uphold the law. Get a clue.

I would first let them know how I felt about the noise directly. If the noise continued, I would then contact the police and have them ticketed. Trust me, after awhile they will get tired of having to pay for fines for disturbing the peace
