Villas at West Oaks

Run like hell from this one - take my word for it. From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 8/3/2005 Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005   13 months ago in July, 2004 I moved into one of these apts. The people across the hall had a dog that they left run loose in their apt with no one home most of the time. The dog barked loudly and constantly and I could not take it. I could not watch TV or work on my computer because they are right by my front door and the dog drove me nuts. I actually called and held my cell phone to the door where the dog was barking to try to get their attention in the office but they did nothing. Finally, the lady was evicted for non payment and I got some peace. I was ready to move out the first week I was here. I have had 3 smoke alarms wake me up in the middle of the night beeping and had to call maintenance to come change them. I had another neighbor across the hall that spit tobacco juice all over the breezeway floor and walls. I complained about this and they came over and washed the floor and walls, and he just kept on doing it. They do not enforce handicap parking spots. The same people park in handicapped spots over and over and I called the office and they do nothing. The people across the hall from me now set out their stinking garbage in the hall and leave it for days. I saw a trail of ants to it and called. The next day the garbage was gone. A week later there was more garbage in the hall. I called again. I have the office on speed dial on my cell phone. I feel like the biggest whiner and complainer but this stuff really pisses me off. Lots of people throw trash out of their cars into the parking lot. The security gates are a joke, they are broken half the time. They have a big dumpster for you to throw your garbage way at the back of the property and it is always full and overflowing and then people just throw their stuff anywhere and it piles up. I have seen couches, all kinds of broken down furniture and who knows what sitting out there. What a mess. Do not plan to sleep in on Wednesday morning. They start up all the blowers and mowers and weed eaters about 7:30 am and it is noisy as hell for a few hours. I hired a maid service to come in and they went to the office and I had given written permission to let them into my place when I was not there and their key in the office would not open the door, so the maids had to leave and come back. When they came back the next day, the office had done nothing and the key still would not work. They are just so lame it goes on and on. I could write for hours here, but this might be enough. I have had it with these jerks and I am out of here at the end of this month and will never look back. Cheers to you.
