Less than Impressed . . From: Nihilady Date posted: 10/1/2008 Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2008   Internet is usually pretty solid but when it goes down it will be out for at least 3 days to two months and you have to go thru the office for any help. So basically if the net goes down after 6pm on Friday you're SOL till sometime Monday or Tues before they even look at it. The biggest problem is the A/C - the units are way out of date so expect utility bills of about $180-250 on a one bedroom during a normal Texas summer. I've had major problems with my A/C leaking onto the bathroom floor for days before they would get to it and then its just a patch job, they never really fix or replace it. Drainage in both the parking lot and around the gardens is still a big problem, wet feet, driving thru high water during the rains are common. Good luck figuring out what the maintenance guy is saying, its almost never in engrish. I got home from work one day and it smelled like an electrical fire was starting and the A/C would not shut off, breakers of course are off limits to residents and when I called after hours I was told the tech wouldn't look at it that night even though I had a machine on overload that could have caught on fire and was begging them to at least flip the breaker to it so it would shut off. . . the smell was horrible for days. You are required to pay $18 mo for cable TV if you want it or not, recently they added a fee for a gate opener. They still don't have their payment tracking figured out but are getting better. You're only allowed one parking tag per bedroom. Most people don't care and park where they want anyways so it can get full. The lights outside the buildings tend to break leaving you to find your way down the stairs outside in pitch blackness. Fun for a cheap thrill but sucks if you have anything you need to carry. Upside - Washer dryer connections inside 1Br units.
