Westbrook Apartments are the worst apartments in Houston.

The Good:
The rent was very reasonable (when we moved in)
Deposit was very reasonable (when we moved in)
Very small community
Very quiet
Crubside trash pick up
The Bad:
PARKING...if you dont get home by 4:00pm, you will either have to park outside the gate or over in the Kroger parking lot.
Management, the management is HORRIBLE.

The ONLY leasing agent that they do have is VERY rude, she does not know anything, and she looks very unprofessional.

The leasing agent that was working at Westbrook when i moved in was very sweet and kind.

I really dont know what happened to her, but Westbrook really needs her back.

The property manager is very sweet, she listens to your problems and tries to work with you.
Maintenance, they come when you have a little problem to fix, but when your kitchen is completely flooded, they are nowhere to be found.

The 24hour emergency hotline, is a bunch of crap, you MIGHT get a call the next morning, when either your apartment is ruined, you took 20 hours to fix it yourself, or you called a professional.

Grounds, there is dog poop everywhere, there are nasty white mushrooms everywhere, there is no flowers ar nicely planted shrubs.

Construction, there were about 3 HUGE potholes in the parking lot.

If you drove over them, you could possibly tear up the bottom of your car.

There is wood pieces hanging from the roof, paint is chipping from the stair ways and doors.

OVERALL, WESTBROOK is not a horrible pace to live if you are extremely old, or you dont notice details, and you like rude leasing agents.

Just want to say that I moved in here August of 2010 and have not experienced any of these problems. I always find a parking spot, it may not be right in front of my apt but I definitely don't have to park all the way at Kroger... Rachel is the new leasing agent I guess and she is honestly the sweetest girl ever. She is always happy and genuinely cares, and she always remembers your name. I have never had a problem with maintenance, they are always there the same day or first thing the next day to fix what needs fixing. Haven't seen dog poop "everywhere", then again why would you go walking through the grass anyway... and there are GORGEOUS flowers, plants and trees all throughout the paths that go between the buildings. Very beautiful if you want to go for a nice walk. I have never once seen a pothole. I am completely happy living here. The only gripe I have is that the hot tub jets don't work. The water still gets hot, the bubbles just don't turn on.
