Westchase Forest looks great in the daylight, with all the amenities and extras. But when you sign your lease and move in, you see the real Westchase Forest. Is the complex safe' The fire department is right behind the complex. There's supposedly only 1 entry point and that is the access gate which requires a gate card or access code. Moved in Sunday and the gate was wide open, ALL DAY and NIGHT LONG. Gate was still open MONDAY!! Saw suspicious activity in the parking lot. Reported it to the office staff, all concerns were dismissed. The gate is access only, not a security gate. They don't notify residents that the gate is broken, it's not their problem. Suspicious activity' Did we ask what apartment the people were renting' Did we report it to the police' Sure I'm going to stop to ask what apartment are you in' The response received from more than 1 leasing agent, "you've already signed the addendum on liability, we're not responsible." We are leaving the complex after just 2 days. Westchase Forest may appear to be a bargain, but you should listen to the voice that says is this too good to be true'
